Payment

For puppies who are over 8 weeks and being picked up locally within the week, we typically do not require a deposit, however for pups under 8 weeks, or who will be travelling with a pet nanny, deposits are required to hold the pup until agreed pick up date. We DO NOT accept credit cards.

DEPOSITS

We require a 25% deposit to hold any available puppy until it is at least 8 weeks old. Puppies must have been seen by vet prior to deposit is accepted. We offer several options for deposit to be paid which can be discussed after first meeting through video service such as Google Duo or Zoom. After deposit is paid, in the event that the Dog is not available due to sickness, death, or any other circumstance owing to the fault of Seller, Buyer’s deposit will be transferred to the next litter of puppies, DEPOSITS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. The remaining balance must be paid in cash on pick-up.

WE DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS

Pups must be picked up in person. If you do not live locally, we invite you to fly out and pick up your puppy in person or you may use a pet nanny to fly with your dog to your home state. It is the expectation that any dog leaving our care will fly in cabin with the other passengers and never in cargo. Liability for the puppy will transfer from Best Dressed Bulldogs to the pet nanny at the time of pick-up, it is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure you are using someone you trust to transport your dog.

OUR GUARANTEE

At time of purchase, we guarantee your pup to be in good health and free from any communicable disease. Your puppy has been vaccinated and examined by a licensed veterinarian and has been determined to be healthy prior to release.

In order for this guarantee to remain in effect, buyer must take their new puppy to veterinarian of their choice for a physical within 24 hours of taking possession of the puppy. BDB’s guarantee does not cover dehydration, diarrhea, or hypoglycemia as these are things that can be easily prevented or corrected or are common in puppies during and after travel.

Best Dressed Bulldogs provides a 3-year, life-threatening genetic health guarantee, in which the problem results in death. Records must be presented in writing by a licensed veterinarian and at Best Dressed Bulldogs' discretion may need to be examined for a second opinion at the buyer’s expense. In the event of death covered under this guarantee, the puppy will be replaced with soonest available pup of like sex and quality. No cash refunds will be given. All sales are final. For issues not resulting in death, resolution will be made on a case by case basis.

Because of the nature of our business, we have a NO REFUND policy under any circumstances. By making a deposit or payment to Best Dressed Bulldogs, you are agreeing to this and all policies posted on our site.

Best Dressed Bulldogs will not be responsible for any veterinary bills or medication cost for puppy after it leaves our care. BDB does not guarantee against parvovirus, coronavirus, coccidiosis, giardia, hernia, collapsed trachea, hypoglycemia or any potential complications, including but not limited to heat stroke, that can be attributed to a brachycephalic breed as these may involve trauma or environmental conditions. We do guarantee that at the time of receipt of puppy it is free from any signs or symptoms of the above conditions.

BDB does not guarantee against patellar luxation or hip/elbow dysplasia as these conditions are not uncommon in the breed and is not detectable under 8 weeks of age, when veterinary exam occurs prior to sale. Additionally these conditions are known to have environmental factors which play a major role in their development.

BDB’s health guarantee is offered only to the original buyer and is non-transferable. The buyer agrees to provide proper care for the puppy, including nutrition, vet care, immunizations as appropriate and as required by law, grooming, and proper housing. Furthermore, the buyer agrees to give the dog proper physical and emotional care and welfare. If the Buyer becomes unable to keep the dog or provide a suitable home as per this agreement, the dog will be returned to the Breeder. The Buyer agrees to notify the Seller if any problem or situational change arises and will not leave the dog in a shelter, sell, or give away.

We sell puppies as pet only unless agreed upon in sales contract.

Acknowledgements

Purchase of a dog from Best Dressed Bulldogs acknowledges understanding and agreement to the terms below. Buyer must read and initial each section to confirm understanding of each statement.

_______ I understand and agree that if I am unable to care for Dog purchased from BDB at any point in the dog’s life, I will contact BDB as soon as reasonably possible, as ownership will revert back to Best Dressed Bulldogs.

_______ I understand that this dog is being sold as pet without breeding rights.

_______ I am familiar with Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome and understand the risks associated with dogs with short snouts.

_______ I understand there is greatly increased risk of heat stroke associated with brachycephalic breeds and agree to moderate and supervise time spent outside in hot weather and ensure that this dog not be left in vehicles alone.

_______ I agree to ensure this dog is not permitted to physically exert itself in hot weather and will ensure that appropriate exercise and play time will be available both indoors and during cool hours during hot months.

_______ I understand that no dog purchased from Best Dressed Bulldogs may be flown as cargo with any airline.

The parties agree to be bound by the attached Terms and Conditions governing the purchase and sale of the Dog.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Deposit, Payment of Purchase Price, Fees

Buyer has paid a deposit of $ _______, with payment of the balance of $ ______________ due upon/prior to release of the Dog to the Buyer. The expected delivery date is _______________,

or such other date as the parties my mutually agree. Payment of the balance must be made in cash.

Buyer acknowledges and agrees that Buyer will forfeit the deposit and any rights to the dog if:

Buyer fails to complete the purchase of the dog for any reason, or
Buyer fails to pay the balance of the Purchase Price at the time of pick up.
Buyer fails to pick up within 5 days of the agreed date.

In either event, Seller shall be free to sell the Dog to another party.

In the event that the dog is not available due to sickness, death, or any other circumstance owing to the fault of the Seller, Buyer’s deposit will be transferred to the next litter of puppies.

A boarding fee of $10.00 per day will be charged to the Buyer for each day the Dog is boarded by the Seller past the agreed delivery date. This balance must be paid prior to transfer of ownership.

2. Transfer of Ownership and Registration

Upon payment in full of the Purchase Price, the Buyer (at the Buyer’s sole cost) shall promptly take all actions required to officially transfer ownership and registration (if any) of the Dog to the Buyer

3. Seller’s Representations and Warranties

Seller is the legal and true owner of the Dog and Seller has full right and authority to sell the Dog.
The Dog is being sold free and clear of any lien, security interest, charge or other encumbrance.
Seller guarantees that the Dog is a purebred dog, offspring of the purebred sire and purebred dam set out on page 1 of this agreement
The dog is being sold without registration and as such is being purchased without breeding rights unless otherwise agreed upon and amended within this document.
All disclosures appropriate for the Dog are attached to this document and have been discussed with the Buyer prior to transfer of ownership.
